Image to Text (OCR)
Extract text from a photo, scan, or screenshot up to 200MB using on-device optical character recognition.
Drag & drop a file here, or click to browse
Clear, well-lit text works best
How to use this tool
Upload an image containing text and click Extract Text. The OCR engine downloads and runs entirely in your browser the first time you use it (a one-time download, then cached), so your image is never sent to a server. This tool currently recognizes English text; support for additional languages can be added later. For best results, use a clear, well-lit, reasonably high-resolution image.
