About DevBiz Tools Hub

Who runs this site

Hi, I'm Chirag, an independent developer. I built DevBiz Tools Hub to bring the everyday business calculators and developer utilities I kept looking for into one place, free and simple to use.

I started the site in August 2026. I write the tools and the guides myself, and I handle the bug reports and corrections that come in through the contact page.

Why it exists

Most everyday calculations and file conversions are small jobs: adding GST to a quote, checking what a loan really costs, turning an export into a spreadsheet. Too often the free tools for them ask for a sign-up, bury the result under pop-ups, or quietly upload your file to a server. This site is the opposite approach: each tool does one job on one page, with no account, and shows how it got its answer.

There are currently 93 tools in 5 groups: 24 developer utilities; 12 business tools, most of them built around Indian GST, loan and salary conventions; 4 student tools for grades, word counts and resumes; 47 file, data and unit converters; and 6 US personal-finance calculators. The full list describes each group.

How the tools are checked

Most calculator pages show the formula they use and a worked example you can reproduce with the default inputs. The figures in the guides are calculated, not estimated, and each description of how a tool behaves is checked against what the tool actually does.

That checking is also how problems get found. A review in September 2026 turned up and fixed several conversion bugs: JSON-to-CSV dropped columns that didn't appear in the first record, CSV-to-Excel stripped the leading zeros from PIN codes, Excel dates came back as raw serial numbers, and subtitle italics were lost between formats. When a tool is wrong, it gets fixed on the page, and a guide that changes substantially shows its updated date.

Tax and finance figures change every year. The US tax estimator uses the IRS figures for the tax year it names, and the GST pages reflect the slabs in force since September 2025. All of these are estimates for planning, not professional advice.

What happens to your data

The tools run as code in your own browser. The text, numbers and files you use them with are processed on your device and are not uploaded or stored by this site. Three tools need the network: the currency converter fetches the day's exchange rate (sending only the two currency codes), and the two OCR tools download their recognition engine the first time they run. The privacy policy covers analytics, advertising cookies, and the contact form in detail.

How the site is paid for

The site is free to use and is meant to be supported by ads from Google AdSense. Ads will never gate a tool or its result. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you see Google's consent message, and ads follow the choices you make there. Everywhere else, or if your browser blocks Google's message, you see this site's cookie banner: ads are requested only after you choose Accept all, and if you decline, no ads are requested and no advertising cookies are set through this site. Either way, Cookie Settings in the footer lets you change your choice at any time.
