Simple Interest Calculator
Calculate simple interest and the total amount owed or earned from principal, rate, and time.
How to use this calculator
Enter the Principal Amount, the annual Interest Rate, and the loan or investment Time in years, then click Calculate. Simple interest is worked out as Interest = P × r × t / 100, applied once to the original principal for the full duration — unlike compound interest, it never earns interest on interest already accumulated. The calculator returns two figures: the total Interest earned or owed, and the Total Amount you’ll repay or receive, which is simply the principal plus that interest.
