A QR (Quick Response) code encodes text or a URL as a pattern of black-and-white squares that a camera can read far faster than a barcode, because it stores data in two dimensions instead of one. Static vs dynamic QR codes

Making sure your QR code scans reliably
Keep the encoded text short — long URLs create a denser, harder-to-scan pattern with smaller individual squares. Use a URL shortener if your destination link is long. Test the code at its actual print size before mass-printing, since a QR code needs enough resolution and contrast to scan cleanly from a normal phone distance, and a pattern that looks fine on a laptop screen can be too dense to scan reliably at business-card size. Leave a quiet margin of white space around the code — most scanners rely on that blank border to detect where the code starts.
